A Look Into Our Dalton Neighborhood

Spring weather has arrived, and that means we’re beginning to head out into our Alexandria surroundings to explore. Luckily, living at The Dalton places you in the center of some of the area’s best dining, entertainment & recreation options to enjoy. Need a helping hand when it comes to deciding where to go? Here are a few of our favorites local go-tos around our community that are guaranteed to become your new favorites as well.

Monterey’s Pizza

Already a highly regarded local gem of ours, Monterey’s Pizza just made our pizza cravings even easier to satisfy. They’ve established a location just steps from our door at The Dalton, so we can head over whenever we please. We can’t get enough of their cheesy breadsticks, and their Hawaiian Pizza glazed with olive oil is to die for. If you’re not a pineapple-on-pizza type of person, they’ve got a ton of other delicious pies to choose from. Is it dinner time yet?

Founder’s Park

If there’s one thing that Alexandria is good at, it’s providing stunning, spacious outdoor spots to spend time in. One of our area’s most well-known ones is Founder’s Park, which is just a 20-minute stroll from The Dalton. Not only is the park planted along the gorgeous Potomac River, but it’s right in Old Town Alexandria as well. The space is perfect for taking a riverfront stroll with friends, walking your pup, letting them roam free in the dog park, picnics and more. Plus, their gardens are an ideal spot for a photo op. We’ll see you there under the sun.

Old Town Alexandria

Perhaps the most unbeatable hot spot near our home, Old Town Alexandria embodies everything that we love about our home. With countless different experiences to choose from, you’ll never have a boring day when visiting. Take a spin on the The Capital Wheel, stroll through the blooming cherry blossom trees, or visit one of the many historical museums and landmarks. After working up an appetite, head to one of the many killer restaurants, such as The Majestic, Brabo or Bilbo Baggins Restaurant. After that, you can end the evening with some drinks or even a ghost tour, once the sun goes down. If none of that catches your attention, there’s various places to shop at as well. What’ll it be?
